Showering in chlorinated water

Ever turn on the shower and let the hot water run? Not a very eco-friendly act but it’s a bad habit we all do from time to time; ever notice when the water runs hot the smell of chlorine fills the room. That hot water turns the chlorine into gas vapours which we inhale.

Most of us are aware drinking chlorinated water tastes awful but more importantly it is harmful to our health, however many are still uninformed chlorinated water is more harmful when used for showering than it is drinking. Showering in chlorinated water is harmful because chlorinated water vaporizes into gas particles which are inhaled. A long shower in a poorly ventilated bathroom would result in a concentrated exposure to the chlorine. Also when we shower the heat in the water causes pores to expand and enlarge, resulting in immediate absorption of the chlorine.

To eliminate the potential health effects simply install a shower filter, they are inexpensive and easy to install. Free your health, hair and skin from chlorinated water!
